The promo was supposed to be for just the internet, which is part of why i am confused. Its things like this why I have always hated Worst Buy and try to never shop there. Unfortunately Best Buy has nothing to do with the competency of Comcast employees. I have dealt with Comcast employees many times over the past 5 years or so and only once did I ever talk to somebody who had some idea what he was talking about. And if there is one thing i have learned from all of those conversations with them, its that no matter what evidence you show them, any problems you have are never their fault.
Lol, so true. It might be worth it though to try a different CS and make sure you're locked in with that promo price. I got that 19.99 rate 2 different times because I cancelled once and tried DSL (they had some $18 a month promo or something). Comcast does suck in general (mostly from a monopoly and pricing standpoint) but their high speed internet service is far superior to anything else in the Washington Metro area.
Funny thing is that when I called to get the promo they mailed me, the first guy I called at 1-800-COMCAST had no clue what I was talking about even though the flyerr clearly said call the 800 number. So he dug up some 888 number and said there were people there that would get me set up. Call the 888 number and the CSR was a step-down for sure. Had to repeat my info because I was saying it too quickly or something, only to find out he had no clue about the promo code I had and that they were running a different campaign that had 1 letter difference. Had his supervisor get on only to tell me to try the 800 number again. 2nd guy at 800 sounded confused at first, but then hooked me up with everything I needed with no problems.
