Not to sound like an asshole BD, because we've clearly never played together, but I'm rarely someone you would call a hoverer. I generally have a 2:1 if not 4:1 ratio in games, with 4-6 captures and 8-10 defends - but what happens is I was not getting cover in an attempt to capture the B site - why would I keep running back if no one will cover me? So I did the logical thing, I provided cover for the few that were attempting to cap it. Unfortunately, our other players loved feeding the opposing team kills for RC-XDs and mortar teams.

Who are you? Rejecting...instantly. You simply cannot stand up to my awesomeness! :awe:
Pfft, non-capping noob, sell your Xbox and give me your NookColor for good measure.
I'm not really trying to call anyone out specifically. I mean you said it, why would you run out because no one will cover you? You're right, probably no one will. That's the overall problem here. The game just isn't designed to encourage team play, to encourage personal sacrifice for team gain.
I could think of a ton of ways they could fix this, but they've hardly deviated from the same broken formula for 4 games now, I can't see it changing anytime soon.
seemed to always give you a run for your money in MW2

How about I n00b tube you as you capture and then three-round burst you in the nuts for good measure? :awe:
I fail to see how him attempting to cover his team while they capture (and fail as he said) a point selfish or camping? The entire game was based upon which team holds the points for the longest amount of time. Disallowing the opposing team to capture a point (and gain points) is an extremely valid strategy. Is guarding your flag in CTF or your bomb sites in Demolition / S&D camping as well? Defense is what wins game. I've lost plenty of games where teammates and myself were all extremely positive (talking about 5:1 k/d) and we lost because nobody played defense. The other team constantly had someone capping points and inched ahead in points.
Not saying it ain't valid, but staring at an uncapped point to a sniper rifle hardly seems like the best strategy. Id hardly call it defense if your team doesnt even hold the damn point. You said it yourself - in your game, the other team had someone else constantly capping, and in my experience, that's the team that usually wins. Defense is important but being aggressive and active in capturing and securing a solid lead first is far more important. I'd never be able to stare at an uncapped point and just cover it.

Yeah Mr. "I only got the PS3 version because my co-workers play it."
cuase they are all mlg pros. i needed a challenge.
You guys should add me... om3gawave is my gamertag. I'm fucking good.
Kabob, I'm looking at you
I play almost every day up to about two weeks ago. I recently moved and despite having internet, have no way to get it to my living room atm. I am not paying $100 for a wireless adapter, that is for sure. Maybe I'll pick up a 100ft cable from monoprice.
You might wanna pick up one of those dd-wrt routers and use it as a wifi bridge. They can be had for like 20.00 bucks.
I have yet to meet an MLG guy who wasn't an ass. Seriously, every single one I've played who had a mic has made themselves out to be some sort of gaming god or whatever. Heck, I had one guy who, because I destroyed him, messaged me and said he was going to rape my mother and kill her.
Classy bunch of fellows...
Seriously, the day I meet one who's even halfway normal I'll stop stereotyping them, it's just yet to happen.
OK, so you were om3gawave? See, that makes more sense. I had no clue who Saint Nick was, guess you had the mods change your tag?
And I don't care if you're good or not, since when does being good have anything to do with being fun to game with? I play with plenty of guys who can barely swing a 0.5 KDR and I play with some (Buc) who are getting eeriely close to 3:1 KDR's.
Send me another FR.

Damn. I hope you reported him.
