I ran a 100 amp line to my garage with a jpanel and 4 additional circuits, all of which were in the workbench itself. I need to do it in my new house, maybe I'll do a livestream or something when I put it in.
I'm a electrical technician with freinds in the electrician field so I have no problems with it.... I work with up to 2140Vac but I have to say that waterfall grotto is gorgeous!
I do almost everything and am a licensed general contractor but there are some things I won't mess with and electricity is one of them. Gas is the other. I don't want to break something electrically or worse have my loved ones burned alive. $500 for a licensed and bonded contractor is cheap for piece of mind IMO let alone done right and timely fashion..
I don't know about the US but in Canada it's straight up illegal for you to work on electrical or gas systems unless you are a journeyman or supervised by a journeyman. In my city, you actually need a permit to work on this stuff in your own house. If hiring a contractor, it's up to the contractor to get the permit, and the request for the permit must be signed by a journeyman. Not having a permit for work is why DIY electrical or DIY gas stuff voids insurance for certain types of insurance claims
