Can I overclock my CPU?

Could someone talk a look at these pics and tell me If I can overclock my CPU. I have a P4 2.0 GHZ 400 FSB. Am I in the right place? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, you can OC it, google or search this forum for Intel overclocing...but mostly its just raising the FSB in small increments until you reach a point where your system isn't stable anymore, then backing off a bit or increasing voltage.

Also if you go for higher OCs (above 210 or 215 FSB) make sure to run a memory divider unless you have some really nice RAM in your system.

where in the BIOS do I increase FSB? in the Freq voltage Control? I dont see the setting for FSB in the BIOS

Under your "Frequency Voltage Control" you want to change the "CPU Host Frequency(Mhz)" by +1 till you get to the speed you desire. That is your FSB. For every +1 you add to your FSB your CPU will be going 20Mhz faster. So by increasing your FSB by 10Mhz (Making it 110Mhz) your CPU will be running at 2.2Ghz. Go as high as you feel comfortable with while the system remains stable. Try running Super Pi to stress your system. Your CPU could be damaged if you try doing too much so do it slow and watch your temps. The max temps for your proc can be found using google. Good luck.

run Prime95 when u feel like ur OCing is complete
leave it running for 12+ hours
that tests for stability

actually, I recommend Prime95 for more than 24 hours. I've had my CPU pass 3 days of Prime95 yet froze when some guy IMed me out of the blue. Some CPUs are just tend to not like OCs.
