If some little prick kept poking me in the head, I'd come outta my cave just to kick his ass.

Yes, there is a hormone in the seminal fluid that induces labor. They have a synthetic version of the hormone to help women get things going.
My wife and I had some great sex the night she went into labor. She was a month early.
But the nipple stimulation mentioned earlier WILL induce labor, right?Originally posted by: MrsSkoorb
I don't think there has been any documented proof towards this....if anything, it just causes the woman to relax, which in many cases can help induce labor.
Lemme look in some of my books.....
Edit:
Okay: No where is it mentioned MEDICALLY as a method of inducing labor. However, when a woman orgasms, her uterus contracts....hence the notion of inducing labor.
Some doctor do not recommend sex that close to delivery, others say go for it as long as you are comfortable....maybe someone out there should do some hard core research - peer reviewed and not just internet - on this topic!

My wife thought so (much to my delight). I was a labor inducing tool for a week straight prior to her delivery. I doubt the validity of the practice but in my case I did not argue.
Can Sex Induce Labor?

Yes, I saw a "Friends" episode where it was discussed so it must be true.
