I haven't had a D-Bag moment while driving in quite a while. But yeah, its can crop up very quickly in the right circumstance and tends to jump from person to person.

Nothing sporty at all. I drive a 2013 A4.

I remember them saying in the show Top Gear that more and more douchebag drivers were Audi drivers now. Moved over from BMW hahaha.

i don't know if you caught it from your car or you just didn't realize until today that you were one...

SOmething about being in a car.

I guy almost killed me once so I gave him the universal sign for disapproval and he went off on me yelling through his window while we were both stuck at a light. He knew he was in the wrong. He knew he almost killed me. Yet it was my fault. I just sat back listening to my podcast and ignored him.

It's possible you were always a douchebag but only noticed it now.

LOL! Yeah, we all have our moments.

I'm a military policeman and we had this senior officer's wife who would sit on her porch and watch cars drive by and if she thought they were going too fast, she would call the MPs. After tiring of her constant phone calls on speeders in that area, eventually we were directed to run RADAR in that area just so she would shut up and stop calling. I ended up coining the term EYEDAR because I swear to God she thought that her visual recognition of a vehicle's speed was better than our calibrated RADAR systems in the cars.

Anyway, she had managed to convince her husband to convince Public Works to change the speed limit from 20 to 15 MPH and they did. One day I received a 911 call and just so happens the shortest, quickest path was right down this street. The fastest we are allowed to go when responding to ANYTHING is 10 MPH over the posted speed limit, even with full lights and siren (code 3). So, I'm "tearing" past her house, lights and sirens going pretty damn close to 25 MPH and she literally starts screaming at me and waving and calls the MP station to report me for speeding! I went by, lights on, sirens blaring and STILL she called to report me.

Finally, one day I couldn't take it anymore. I stopped my car and got out to talk to her and explain that what she was doing was creating MORE problems than she was solving. I explained that thanks to her, my officers and I were more concerned with her shenanigans than we were actually trying to actively police other issues in the area and that we would all but avoid her EYEDAR and probably be less responsive in the future.

Suffice it to say, she upped the ante on us after that and actually managed to get a MASSIVE speed bump put in, along with various other warning signs on that road, including a "CAUTION DEAF CHILD PLAYING" sign after she canvassed the neighborhood and found a fellow officer's spouse who did indeed have a deaf child in the area (although never ACTUALLY seen playing anywhere near this street).

Well, lo and behold one night one of my troops was responding to a house fire call and not knowing, hit that massive speed bump (I'm talking this sucker is about 12 inches high at the crest and about 4-5 feet across, all the way across the two lanes) going 25 MPH and damn near deployed his air bags! He said he hit it going about 25 MPH, his Mt. Dew bottle left the cup holder and went all over his car and he still swears his airbag light flashed repeatedly on the dash.

True story. Sorry, you just reminded me of it and I thought I'd share. Welcome to the Army.
