I need help with my Windows 98 system. Whenever I am on the internet, my computer crashes within 5 minutes of connecting. Usually a blank white screen comes up and there is no mouse and I have to restart. Also, In the middle of writing a CD, 98 restarts by itself, I have wasted many CDR's trying to figure this out but I still don't know what the problem is!
I have:
Win98SE/Win2k SP1 Dual-boot
AMD TBird 750
FIC AZ11E (KT133 + 686B)
20GB Maxtor
Sony CRX-145E (10x write)
128MB Ram
40x CDRom
SB Live Value
Matrox G200 16mb Video
Viking 56k PCI modem
Installed Via 4.25 4-in-1 drivers and Hard Drive is running at Ultra DMA 66.
Already tried turning DMA off and using DMA33 cable, but no go.
I am Dual-booting Windows 2k and everything works fine in 2000(thats why I love it), but 98 is really irratating and I need it to play many multiplayer games that dont work in 2000. I can burn CD's in 2000, but still want it to work in 98 as well. If anyone has any hints or ideas, please do tell!
