Aboot time our friends to the north realized that gun control doesn't work, eh?

Once established, the registry not only proved to be expensive and errorprone, it drove a wedge between police and lawful Canadian firearms owners, who became justifiably frustrated at being deemed public safety risks simply because they owned a firearm. The Liberals' hysterical insistence that harassing duck hunters and sport shooters was somehow necessary to pay proper homage to the victims of the 1989 École Polytechnique massacre (which wouldn't have been prevented with a registry anyway) has been particularly grating. Scrapping the registry will remove such irritants, and is worth doing for that reason alone.

The firearm death rate in every other western country disagrees.

So if you can use correlation equals causation comparing to other countries, then we can use it here comparing state, and city to state and city. Awesome, because it's a known fact that everywhere in America that has loose gun control has drastically lower firearm related deaths than the liberal meccas of gun control.

Haha, I remember the last time he tried this.

Yep, because countries and states are analoges...

Facepalm.

No, that doesn't work. States/Cities don't have Border checks that screen for movement of Devices/Goods like a Nation does.

And other countries have completely different cultures, and justice systems than America. The point is that the failure argument the Rocksteady wishes he had is an epic failure.

It's much better to get a real correlation equals causation argument using state v state, or city v city, versus trying to use completely different cultures. Your "argument" is a failure before it even gets going, and has been beaten down like a red headed step child here many times.

Indeed.

Canadians, Americans, and Europeans are so different from each other.

The point is your attempts at making a convincing argument aren't any better.

I see...

I didn't start this argument. I have no problem with U.S. gun laws, and don't think they should be changed.

I'm just sick of hearing bullshit about gun laws not working when the opposite is try. Have all the guns you want, I don't care, but don't turn around and argue that it doesn't cause problems. It does.

The homocide rate in the states in insane. Obviously there are demgraphic and social reasons for that, but a large cause is gun availibility.

Is Australia a Western and first world country?

Now about guns....

If you don't like them and don't want them around the live where you wish and don't buy any. I have no problems if guns and own many. Why do you insist on forcing your wants on me?

You just proved my point.

Switzerland has the weakest gun laws in Europe. They also have the highest firearm death rate in Europe.

Q.E.D.

If you count suicides maybe. Going by homicides Italy, Belgium, Finland, and Greece, Ireland, Portugal and Bulgaria are higher than them.

His original point for all this is not a fait accomplis. Wing nuts like to act like it is, but just because 1 guy wrote a book doesn't mean anything.

Is that a joke? Of course Australia is a western country. And were about the 3rd most developed country in the world.

I'm not advocating gun control. I'm just saying that it reduces homicide rates.
