I already stated that I understand the demographic and social issues you have that lead to violence. That doesn't mean guns arent a big issue.

And for the 10th time, I'm not advocating any law changes in American! FFS. It's way too late for that.

And yet in many areas where gun ownership is high, gun crime is often low. It's all about the demographic and social issues. Just look at concealed carry. Every time it's been implemented gun control advocates have predicted wild-west gun fights in the streets. We've had shall-issue carry in 41 states now, most for close to 20 years. Despite hundreds of thousands if not millions of concealed carriers nationwide, these gunfights have never materialized. In fact lives have been saved.

Eliminating guns doesn't stop crime, it simply changes its nature.

It's much easier to kill someone with a firearm though.

How many mass schools killings have happened with a knife?

How many drive-bys are commited with a machete?

"Drive closer, drive closer!"

I feel like I should consider myself a bad person because that actually made me laugh out loud enough to wake the wife up.

Yeah, they're kinda part of our history.

http://www.west-oz.com/viewdetails.asp?id=16700

I was there a number of times in the mid 1970's. I would think that someone would have at least mentioned it. We were in the Marine Corps and we were hosted by your military. Nothing was said. No matter it was enjoyable all the same.

The first place I landed in your country was the Air Force base in Rockhampton. I enjoyed that more than you could imagine. That was the very base my father, a P-40 pilot in WWII flew out of and then was a patient in your hospital there recovering from his wounds. I got to see where my father had been so many years before. I liked that.

LOL. You're like

"Why am I only learning about this now! Goddammit, I love prostitutes!"

I would have thought any of you guys that stop here knew about it. It's a big deal for the brothels when an aircraft carrier comes to town.

"US sailors wear out sex workers"

LOL.

3 days after the USS John C Stennis came to town all the brothels had to shut because the hookers were worn out.

Read the whole article, it's classic.

Must have been at sea a while.

Just because it's easier doesn't mean that people are doing it. As Irishscott pointed out many places have had conceal carry for a couple decades and they almost always have lower firearms related crime than places where it is banned.

What is Julia charging these days? Will her rates go up with the carbon tax?

Perhaps the ATF also added to the problem.

Gun registry is too expensive for Canada that is one of the main reason they are scraping it.

This is not true. It barely costs anything to run. This was scrapped purely for Ideological reasons.

Did you enjoy some of our legal prostitution? The brothels are packed out when U.S. troops come to down.

So.. You're telling us that, if we ever need a Whore, Austrailia will welcome us with open legs??

A typical deployment is well over 6 months.

I never really had a problem with the idea of a gun registry, just the incredibly ridiculous spending on it and the uselessness of it in practice. No sense continuing to throw good money after bad.

Gun control doesn't work

Yes it does!

There are two big issues in getting rounds on target: Trigger pull and sight alignment. Both are involved with gun control If you maintain a good sight alignment and have a good trigger pull technique that ought to ensure you hit what you want to hit. So gun control works. anyway that is what my shooting coach taught me. I should work for you, but you will have to get out to the range and practice, practice, practice.

Gun Control: The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her own pantyhose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to the police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound.

LOL!

If you don't like guns don't buy one, but leave the rest of us alone.

Sight picture, breath control, and trigger squeeze, those are the three fundamentals, master those and you can hit anything.

I still milk the trigger on handguns. Haven't figured out how to get rid of it so I wind up shooting the target in the stomach. But proper gun control leads me to aim for their left shoulder to accommodate.

Use the tip of your finger opposite the tip of your finger nail, as far away from the joint as possible.
