Candid Encounters With CELEBRITIES!

I think I've only seen two celebrities in real life. My first one was Michael Chang, who was eating at the SAME Chinese restauruant, and he was sitting only a table away.

All the cooks, the managers, and waiters/waitresses came out to take a gander. =D

The other one was Geraldo, who I think was visiting the UC Berkeley campus to check it out for his son. Heh, I didn't quite realize who he was until I saw people turning their heads as he walked by, then it clicked.

I also met this unbelievably gorgeous voluptuous half asian/half white lady who had posed for Playboy, but had the pictures pulled from the magazine by her parents. She lives in the same building as one of my closest friends.

Oh yeah, and I *think* I saw Claire Forlani. They were filming a Freddie Prinze Jr. on the UC Berkeley campus. I had the chance to go to an autograph signing for the Girls Of the Pac 10 edition of Playboy, but I forgot. =D

I delivered flowers to Aretha Franklin and she answered the door in her bathrobe.

Well, I've seen pretty much all the cast of Buffy and maybe even 90210 because they filmed those at my high school, and She's All That too, so Freddie Prinze Jr. I've seen others here around UCLA, some not-as-famous ones too...don't really know their names or care...

I bumped shoulders with David Copperfield once. That's about the extent of my celebrity encounters.

*Almost* shook Gerald Ford's hand once I've met some radio persnalities, but they were/are local.

I met the Harlem Globetrotters once, was about 6 feet away from Ken Griffey Jr. while performing the national anthem in Veterans' Stadium (Philadelphia baseball for those who don't know). My father shook hands, talked to, and received a flag and award from the President about 15-20 years back

I have met a lot of celebrities.....most of the Denver broncos, Elway, Shanahan, etc....I sat next to the actor John Hurt, Danny Glover, and a few others on airplanes......I always fly first class, so I guess it is not too surprising... oh, I played blackjack with OJ right after his civil trial at the Atlantis in Paradise Island, Bahamas...played with Jagr from the Pens the same trip.....there was some famous model who was getting married out there also, but I can't remember her name.... really at the end of the day, they still put their pants on one leg at a time, so I don't get too overexcited about meeting celebs.....

um i've seen method man and red man or whoever they are... the guys from wu tang clan. they were filming on campus for their new movie. i didn't appreciate it cuz they kept on blocking walkways while they filmed.

Jmman...how you get to see so many celebs? I mean, personally, I always fly the cheap class... but flying first class is that much different, in terms of meeting celebs?

I used to fly all over the world, so you are bound to meet celebs occasionally.... (I used to fly 150K+ miles a year)

Back in 1988 when I was about 9 years old or so, I was walking through Central Park with my mom and we ran into Yoko Ono and a friend going for a stroll. My mom got a picture of her too, it was pretty cool. She still lives in the Dakota right nearby.

SerraYX, I'm extremely jealous. It's my life long dream to meet Ken Griffey Jr. I'm going to (hopefully) get a job in Cicinatti when I get out of University so that I can get season's tickets.

my friends and i were standing in a parking lot with Cindy Crawford waiting for the valet to bring our cars around. and in real life she's really not very attractive. the girl in our group wouldn't stop raving about how thin she looked after having given birth, but still...


oh yeah, and alicia silverstone went to my school for awhile...walked right past me looking frumpy in a t shirt and sweats on the way to her art class...

I went to NH during the primaries with the express purpose of meeting all the candidates and press. It is a place and time where anyone can have access to normally inaccessable folks. Watched the super bowl with McCain, lunched with Keyes, talked to Jenning, Press, Matlin, Novak, Germond, Barnes, Kondriche, Carlson, Matthews (he picked up our dinenr and bar tab), Wolfe, Russert, etc... If you like the press or prsidential candidates, go to NH during the primaries.
