Cant access photos

I burned some photos on a cd-r and now Im trying to open them and I am stuck.I can see about half of the photos fine but when I try to get the other ones it just hangs. Im trying to copy them from the disk back on to the hard-drive but I get the following error: Cannot copy DSC00499, Invalid MS-DOS Function. This happens in 98,2000, and XP. Any clues.

I just tried to read the disc from my burner and copy one of the files and I get, Cannot copy DSC00499ata error(cyclic redundancy check) This happens on all the files at the end of the disc not just 00499
