smartpower is just a lower wattage (350) and trupeower is (430) since ive had both of those psus. very very stable and reliable and no voltage flux. antec is the most trusted brand, thats why they are so expensive. mine was 80 bucks, but you could get cheaper alternatives from other companies. you'll need at least a 350 psu for that rig

The main difference is that the Truepower power supply has voltage rails that are independent of each other. This means that a max wattage output is possible for each individual rail. So, the concept of combined voltage does not apply to this particular power supply. Additionally TruePower features Voltage FeedBack circuitry which allows TruePower to adjust the voltages at the ATX connector. This helps maintain system stability. Further, as a part of Antec Low Noise Technology the Truepower power supply has "Fan Only" connector where a regular case fan once connected to it will be spinning at the same speed as the power supply fan. The purpose of this feature is to create a quieter system. The Solution Series power supply has the SmartFan feature, which is helps the power supply run cooler and quieter. However, SL250S and SL300S have only 1 fan.

TruePower, out of those two options. I prefer Enermax, but that's just me.

"Truepower power supply has "Fan Only" connector where a regular case fan once connected to it will be spinning at the same speed as the power supply fan."

Actually that is not correct. Only a fan IDENTICAL to the PSU fan would run at the same speed. What happens is that connected fans are supplied the same VOLTAGE as the PSU fan. So the connected fans would run at some speed RELATIVE to the PSU fan. I have found many PSU thermal fan control circuits to run the PSU fan too slow (the exhaust air being too warm for my taste so I end up putting a manual control on them. I'd rather have cool than quiet - but it's nice to get both whenever possible.

I didn't actually read through it, but I know what you mean.
I have an Antec TB480 and the fans on the fan only connectors defintely spin faster than the psu fan.
