can't delete vista files in xp

help!
i can't delete 8gb of vista files from xp.

the message is "access denied", and i cant change the "read only" attribute because it won't let me.

applications like "dellater"and "move on boot" are no good because there are alot of files to delete.

I just went through this the other day.
I had to boot XP in safe mode as administrator.
Right click on the folder and pick properties.
Then go to security tab and change the permissions to give yourself permission to delete the folders.

One quirk I found is at first it would not allow me to change the permissions.
I had to open the folder then close it before it would let me change.

just install unlocker and delete them without any troubles. Its a great program and its free... google it
