Can't Install Software

I am trying to install software Sage Act 2006, and it is looking for microsot.net, and won't install. I am using xp-pro w/ service pack 2. It all started w/ the installation sp2.

It also gave me trouble w/ outlook 2003. I took out mswoeks.dll think it was causing the error. How do I install the microsoft. net

you can install .net framework from windows update.

Is the update installed from microsoft website or the xp-pro diskette, or sp-2

I have windowss XP-Pro version 5.1, I attempted to downloaded file and I am getting an error message that I need a newer version of windows. I have installed sp2 . What can I do??

Try installing .NET Framework 1.1 for starters. Does that work?

You could try going to Windows Update to get .NET installed

Are you getting that message from the .Net installer, or from the software you're trying to install that runs on it? The software might need .Net 2.0.

I am getting when I install. Have been able to download file, but it has not opened. I also did a restore to when I installed sp2, and it still has'nt helped. I tried opening with the program powerdesk.
