Cant use SD card slot

Hi
I have recently purchased a second hand toshiba portege 2010 and it has a SD card reader but i cannot access it.
Windows has its drivers installed, it is turned on in the bios.
If anyone could tell me how to access it it would be much appreciated.

maybe the card isnt getting seated correctly. Try playing with the card pulling it in-out small distances to see if windows recognizes it
The spring may be broken for the card reader.
