'08 BMW X5 with stock amp/speakers. Recently had rain water get into the left rear trunk compartment (clogged sunroof drain) where the amp and all the wires are housed. It wasn't submerged but it got wet for sure. Had this happen many months before and my speakers came back fine. This time, after a day of speaker buzzing (from being wet), it dried but my left front & left rear speakers are very low (balance left/right tested). Additionally, the front center speaker is crackling but that may just be blown (weird coincidence though).
I ebay'd a replacement amp (also from an '08) and the exact same symptoms remain. Car audio shop (via phone) is baffled too that a "new" amp didn't fix the left speaker low volume issue. I'm more concerned with that because the center channel I assume I can simply replace the speaker.
Any ideas? Could it be the harness plug that goes into the amp? Guy made it seem like speaker wires once dried should be fine.
