yet you are still a dispatcher with college?
I have said nothing that was in error or wrong. You just don't understand because 1) you work for a company at the low level and 2) you probably don't have full coverage anyway.
Most road side requires you to set up the call with them. Most tow coverage out there is not road side...most do not elect road side assistance...most today try to avoid comp and collision even.
If I break down my insurance company will not reimburse me.
If I break down and do not call AAA first they will not reimburse me.
Maybe you can follow this logic now.
Perhaps I work as a dispatcher because I just graduated and am still looking for a big-boy job. You have no idea what my post-college plans are.
Thank you for your patronizing explanation of how RSA works. I guess because I don't know what I'm talking about, the 15 RSA calls I accepted yesterday didn't get their tows. I'll keep this in mind next time. The OP specifically asked how it worked with his insurance company, implying he did have RSA. So in HIS case, if he breaks down, it's covered (usually up to a certain dollar amount or miles towed). If you break down, you'll have to pay because you don't have RSA - duh.
hmm I don't have road side through my insurance company though
Well, the OP does. So you saying he won't be covered is wrong.
you are fucked if you don't set it up through them.
If a person knows they have RSA through their insurance company, why would they NOT set it up through them? I guess that's not technically wrong, but it should be common sense that you'll need to go through your insurance company. In the OP's case, his office was closed. Because I routinely deal with this, I'm guessing the OP's insurance company is set up as a reimbursement plan.

Before I went back to school, I was in charge of the whole gas/convenience store part of this company (hiring/firing/ordering/scheduling). Again, not a 6 figure job but you assuming I have a 'low position' job because that's all I can get is mistaken. I moved down to dispatch because it's ridiculously easy and I could do homework while working. Not only do I not have full coverage, I don't even have insurance! GASP! Oh yeah, I don't have a car either. However, I'm getting a car this week and am fully aware you can opt out of RSA - which I will be doing. As long as I still work as a dispatcher, my tows are free.
I can follow your logic just fine. Only thing is, well, it's wrong.
