Well where I come from most people over 25 buys cars that don't pollute... that's the most important criteria for many people here
I was just curious if that's how it is other places too... and I would absolutely buy my next car based on that criteria... so I guess that ME!!
Just buy what you feel like. Personally I chose a big powerful truck, but I need to pull a boat. If a little economical car works for you, get it. I would think your decision would be based more on price than that.
That's the truth! My friggen 12HP Riding Mower makes such a racket (even with a brand new muffler), I can't stand it! My 7.5L V8 runs so quiet you can't hear it!
You honestly buy cars based on "least polluting"? Can't relate to that... AT ALL! My criteria in order would be:
Initial cost
Safety
Room
Comfort
Cost of upkeep/Repairs
Acceleration
Appearence
Mileage and pollution don't even enter the equation!
Edit: "...never bought a new car in my entire life and never will."
interesting how u guys have cost as #3 or below...
cost shoudl be #1 as i dont think u guys start looking at Aston Martin or Ferrari when shopping for cars. you pick the amount you can afford then choose the cars in that range... unless ur filthy rich!... in case u are, buy me the latest RX-7 plz hehe
You're trading milage/emmisions AND a large margin of safety for torgue and simplicity. As long as gasoline is so damn cheap and "the other guy" is smoking like a chimney & commuting 30K miles per year, why make that sacrifice?
