+1 on the PC-60B, I just built my newest rig using one (my first Lian Li) and I was really impressed at just how polished and well done every little detail was with the case. I have built a number of machines with Antec cases and there really is no comparison (Antec isn't that bad either).

Surprisingly quiet case for having four cooling fans too. I was also afraid that using a metal as light as aluminum would lead to rattles and buzzes but that isn't the case.

I have the lian li v1000 plus II. It was expensive but I really like it. I used to always buy generic cheaper cases but for my conroe build I decided to try something better and I was really pleased with it. I don't know what your budget is but I'm sure you will like any of the lian li's. Very good quality.

That's the case I'm getting next week to installing my watercooling setup into. Comes with 3 x 120mm fans, plus you can put your psu in the top or bottom of the case. It's available in silver or black.

Well, it depends on which version you get, and how it's outfitted.

I own a black 3 window U2-UFO Opti-1203 (pre-drilled for a Thermochill HE 1203 radiator, hence the name). It's around $430 to the door. An aluminum finish U2-UFO solid top goes for about $270, so I guess you could say $300-$400 for a stock U2-UFO case. Custom Mountain Mods cases, of course, will cost more, depending on what you want...

Best case I've ever owned, though, so it's worth it!

What's that mean? It means I don't want to buy a 8.3" wide case, made in communist China, by rural women, housed in all-women dorms, in some god-forsaken industrial area of Shanghai, making 50-cents a day. Why does Lian-Li hire an all woman workforce and house them in dehumanizing conditions? Because they're easier to control than men. Guys will walk 20 kilometers to get drunk and laid, and go to work on 1/2 hour sleep! w00t...

Am I a bleeding heart liberal? Hell, no! I just don't want to buy a case made by commie 'slaves', and try to cram all my self-indulgent American hedonist crap into it...

Secondly, I'm sitting here, watching a 43-inch Sony LCD TV, made in Mexico by blue-collar workers for the same 50-cents a day. Why doesn't this bother me? I don't know -- but the thing is...

Given the fact that I'm watching a 43-inch TV, which is considered small, these days, why would I want to own an 8.3" wide computer? Anybody?

Most computer cases haven't changed their dimensions since well into the last century. What's that all about? We've got room for 43-inch LCD TVs, or bigger, but not for an 18-inch wide Mountain Mods U2-UFO -- or a 13-inch wide Thermaltake Mozart TX?!?!?

Will Thermalright Ultra-120 fit in a LIAN LI PC-60BPLUSII (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811112058) ?

OKey i have a few bones to pick with Lian Li. Here is what i have to say:

1. If your gonna get the V1000B plus, trash the fans that comes with it. If u plug them in the mobo, and your mobo starts at <7Watts on the fans, they make a REALLY REALLY ANNOYING TICKING noise. U can fix this by giving it the full 12V but, then u hear a bit of fan noise.

2. Craftmanship is top notch i have to agree, but to be honest, and i mean really really honest, i think your paying 100 dollars more for a simular case to have REALLY REALLY heavy thick side panels and really really really shiny screws. Other then that, the TT counterpart would come close to its features and modability.

3. The case still wouldnt be able to support a lot of weight on it. The case does feel firm, light, but if i had to put money on what would last longer in a washing machine (this is a pun dont take it seriously) i would put money on the TT Armor. and expect to see the LL torn up EXCEPT THE REDICULOUSLY HEAVY AND THICK SIDE PANELS.


To sum it up, you want heavy doors, and really really shiny screws and pci hole gaurds, get a LL V1000B. They look sexy and they are nice, but definitely not worth the money.

You want something within budget that u dont intend to keep longer then 2-3 builds, get a TT case for half the amount. You wont go wrong with the new ARMOR or Aquilla.

If you get one of the new LL's, like the V1000 or V2000 series, make sure you get the "plus II" model. These have a 120mm fan on the side panel over the video card area. I have a PC-201 (like a V2000, but with a door), and I have the side fan blowing cool air over the VC and chipset area, and then a tuniq tower blowing air to the back of the case, and the back case fan to blow the hot air out of the case.
