7.3 fixed my Q4 issues of not being able to play w/o disabling secondary display, but i had to disable some CCC service to prevent BSODs on Vista startup, which leaves me with no CCC options.
So here's hoping these will run nice in Vista.

From the release notes, it looks like lately Ati has been improving OpenGL performance, but only in Vista. Too bad, because the majority of gamers still use XP.

I installed 7.4, I had 7.3, I use Windows XP SP2, and according to my humble tests my performance in Prey at 1024 x 768, with 4x AAA and 8X HQ AF has increased noticeably. I used to get an average of 40 fps when the first level loads up after the intro (in the public bathroom at the bar), and now I get around 48 fps, and I haven't changed anything in the in-game settings. Either ATi isn't telling us all the changes made in 7.4, or 7.3 had some serious issues that were never shown in the known issues changelog that I was never aware of.
Oh and my 3DMark05 score increased by 123 points over 7.3.
The improvements are to get Vista OpenGL as fast as the XP version. From the release notes, it looks like lately Ati has been improving OpenGL performance, but only in Vista. Too bad, because the majority of gamers still use XP.
