Never heard of this brand. I'll urge caution into buying a no-name laptop. That may work just fine for a desktop, where if a part goes bad you can just an equivalent replacement from any shop. Not the case with laptops; either you are suckered into having expensive repairs, or just flat out have to throw the thing away. Stick with a major brand name.

I second what vegetation said.

My boss bought one of those knock-off laptops and it would work fine until it starts overheating. Then he needed to put a bag of ice underneath it to stop it from shutting off. So much for research and design.

I was tempted by that cheap KDS at Sam's Club but in the end decided to go with an IBM Thinkpad. (picked up on the deal here ) I figured the peace of mind was worth it. Throwin' away over a grand ain't too cool.

Stick with name brands for laptops. Desktops you can build yourself, laptops you can't (at least not affordably).

Netlux like KDS uses desktop cpus in some of their systems. Over all the build quality is good...but battery life suffers cause of desktop cpu and it also gets very hot.

Best notebooks are IBM and Toshiba.

I am using Toshiba Tecra 760 and it works great for 3 years without any problem. Just pick up an IBM A21p at ebay and will get it next week.

Stick to either IBM or Toshiba.
