Its time for back to school work...

I remember I got some good deals by checking the following site for the text books I needed for class...

It searches around 35 stores and gives you the list of cheapest books..

Good Luck

Yeah, I've used Addall quite a few times! It's nice. They give it to you with the shipping price included, and it's not just text books. It's ANY book. I wish they'd stop listing the prices from half.com, though. Listing "first time user" coupon prices as actualy prices is a little deceptive.

There's a similarly named music CD search site called addany.com. I've not used that site very much at all.

When it comes to selling my text books, I've stopped going through my campus buy back programs. I get a much better price on most of my books by selling them back through Amazon's used marketplace.

I've gotten good deals ordering from Amazon's UK site (amazon.co.uk). The prices were so cheap that even after shipping they were cheaper than anywhere else.

Here is a site that I believe is cheaper than any of the other sites mentioned so far. I'm interested in seeing how they stack up in regards to the other ones posted above....

link

72 hour shipping to the U.S. from overseas.

Are you kidding? Once you convert from India rupees(sp?) to US dollars, their prices are very high!

They are way more expensive. After converting a couple of hard covers prices into USD from Ruppies, they cost $35, when I could get them for $8 used or $17 brand new. might be allright if you live in India and are looking to save on big international shipping, but other than that doesn't seem like a good site to me.

You guys are right - they used to be pretty low priced, now they're very high. The copyright people must have caught up with 'em ...

Exactly what I was looking for, I just got back from my campus book store.
Prices where almost 2 times the prices are on these sites for used books.

I was really suprised when I ordered my books for this semester. I didn't get a single one online. All of my books were cheaper if I got them used and with a 10% discount at my campus book store. In the years past the old time I'd get books from there was if I wasn't able to find them used. All in all I ended up spending only $120 for my books, even though I'm in two advanced math classes and a science class (all of which are usually expensive books in my experience.)

You sign up for the stickers after you buy your books from them.

Yeah dont fall for it, the reason why they're so cheap is because they're pirated copies. A friend of mine recently went to India, brought back cases of textbooks, all paperback, and sold em for 80 bucks each. Cost to him? 30 bucks a piece.

BEWARE of pirated copies: they have many many typos and errors, which could ultimately cost you a letter grade!
