Ok I have.
Here is my play by play after slo-mo and pause analysis for a few minutes...
First, the video is crap quality. His hand and whatever item is in it are so blurred you can't tell what he's holding at all.
Second, the lighting is such that the whole blob appears white. This is the same white that matches the parts of kerry's face that are at the same angle as the light. It's most obvious if you pause it at the moment his left arm is angling upward at about 45 degrees. From this color problem I can't really tell if he holds anything white or not. It looks like you are just seeing the back of his left hand. There appears to be something protruding upwards just before his hands disappear. This could be pen or paper. I can't tell.
Third, he performs some gesture. It appears to be removing a pen cap but it could just as easily be opening a folded piece of paper.
Fourth, his hands both disappear into the top of the podium. When they reappear he is holding (I think) a piece of paper but I can't tell if he picked it up from the podium or not.
In summary. It's a sh1t video and you can't tell. If you are taking a stance on this one way or the other you haven't looked at the video closely.
I declare shenanigans on you.
Given the lack of evidence in the video I am inclined to believe the NYTimes over the Drudge report.
However I am further inclined to stick with my original statement on the whole matter:
Funny part is that his "incorrect" statistics are pointed out AND he's accused of using a cheat sheet. Make up your mind dimwits. You can't make both frivolous claims. They are mutually exclusive.
Given the amount of silly bickering on this topic I believe I will let my absolute final conclusion on this be:
George Bush got pwned in the debate and some of you are apparently bitter about it.
Agreements or disagreements anyone?
