If you don't want to OC, get an ASUS board for better stability. DFI's tend to have issues.

DFI is just as stable as Asus.

What is the price/availability of the Venice core CPU?

Looks very nice, but why not get 5.1 speakers to go with that sound card?
Other than that, only thing I'd change is the VC. Very nice system.

Looks good except that the cables on the OCZ Modstream can be a pain in the ass to bend sometimes. Also, sometimes I have to pull on the 24 pin cable so hard to get it out of the socket on the DFI that I'm afraid that I'm going to snap the mobo in half.

Get the Twinmos UTT or OCZ VX value for that DFI board. You'll be able to get at least 2-2-2-6 at 240 fsb with this memory. Both of these memories are priced in the value ($100) price range.

where are you getting this from, if you don't have any support its just thread crap.

to the OP, if you don't put prices its hard to tell if your getting the best deal.

I think what he ment is that the DFI board's BIOS can be daunting for people who aren't very comfortable with knowing what they're doing.

Well, I've just been reading DFI-street and that board has trouble with lots of memory, it just seems like a very fussy board.

a lot of boards are memory picky, including my Asus k8v-se deluxe. but being memory picky and instable are 2 different things. and 99% of the time there is no reason to change your bios from the default settings.
