Is this a good and cheap storage solution what does a card cost that will allow you to use these drives?

I know these are refirbished drives but they seem rather cheap anyone have an opinion?

I wouldn't grab refurbished hard drives because who knows what uses and how long has it been running. Cheap but I wouldn't want the risk of data failure.

I'd just use the drive to store MP3s, but nothing important. Refurbished hard drive...don't like the sound of that.

10k drives have not even been around for long they could not have exceeded their normal mtbf.

Most drives say SCA what kind of SCSI card do you need to get these running? Anyone? They Take Paypal and I am thinking of picking up a couple of drives up. Is this too good to be true or what?

Fibre channel... SCA... what the hell is that?? Sounds like SCSI drives to me... 10K rpm IDE drives don't exist..

Somebody posted a couple of fibre channel drives not that long ago in the FS/FT. 9 gigs for like $10. Anyways, nobody bought them (or at least the msg hadn't been updated to say that they were sold)...where can you get a fibre channel controller card...it'd probably cost through the roof.

if this turns out to be a hot deal we gotta keep it to the people who visit this post. I'd be willing to buy a couple of these drives if someone has a card to put them on LMK I'll do a test SCA. I think there may be an adapter for a u160 card. Anyone? I am clueless in the SCSI world

If thats the case who cares!! can a SCA drive be adapted to a typical SCSI card and what kind of transfer rates could you expect?
