I know _very_ little about theology. But I thought Calvinism was all about the idea of "predestination"?

I find it interesting how that obviously MAGA author includes "educated" in their definition of woke while ignoring that MAGA is anti-education (though I suppose that ignorance is based on organised religion being anti-education too). Based on that I'm surprised that MAGA hasn't co-opted "woke" and made it their own brand, what with those educated elites and all.

They do like "awake, not woke".

People who hate themselves or should I just say almost everybody wants to be good regardless of how bad they want their good to be which means that whatever you tell yourself who you are it will consist of a rationalization. I was raised pentecostal evangel, specifically in the Assemblies of God denomination. These are the people involved with the satanic panic, the 700 club, jimmy swaggart, etc…

People in this area teach that God is the first and the last, the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, everywhere at once, all seeing, all knowing, young earth, dinosaurs were intentionally put in the earths crust to test your faith, stuff like that.

So they simultaneously will teach this and then tell you that you have free will. That does not add up. Either God knows all, or he doesnt. They wont pick, its both.

AG + other evangelicals generally believe the same things. Same people professing that USA is a “christian nation” and want p2025 to be a success.

You had it pretty rough being told any deviance could land you in hell. Having broken out of one jail and landed somewhere better, you are probably well trained and armed to discover you may have leaped from the frying pan into the fire. What if there’s an even better place you could be. No way, right?

Karoline Leavitt conspicuously wearing a pendant in the shape of a Christian cross while blatantly lying her ass off every chance she gets in defense of Trump's treachery against The Constitution is a perfect example of the Republican party's hypocrisy, double standards and the political weaponization of the nation's predominant religion that's being used against other people of the same religion with the exception that they have an opposing political affiliation.

Want more hypocrisy from the religious right wing? The Republicans who profess their loyalty to Christianity are the very ones that revile and despise their Christian brethren attempting to seek shelter here in the USA, the majority of whom are from the Spanish influenced Catholic faith that repulsively look different from the "Real Americans". Same religion that professes that all peoples are of equal status in their God's eyes yet somehow diametrically opposed in principle when it comes down to the Republican Christian's opinion about who deserves to live here...or not.
