Agree with you. I am wondering what the reasoning behind the decisions at the Ecumenical Councils were.

All I recall is that it took around 60 years to create that dogma....325 was when God and Jesus were deemed the same, and about 380, came the Holy Ghost as the third part.

A being cannot have free will if he cannot chose not to follow God.

But that's total bullshit. Free will is not negated by the inability to do one specific action. I am not able to see infrared light with my eyes, but I can still freely choose between ham and jam for breakfast.

I know for a fact that we've been over this shit before, and here you are repeating the same refuted nonsense like it never happened.

You have a learning disability, and it is called religion.

Refuted? Last time we went down this road, I asked you if you had free will, you said you didn't know.

What exactly was refuted?

According to the Bible, Jesus was always perfect, and was never "evil".

The claim that "Jesus was perfect" doesn't really stand up to scrutiny.

Was Jesus the perfect weight? What weight was that? What about when he took a shit, was he no longer the perfect weight afterward?

How tall was Jesus? Is that the perfect height? Was he not "perfect" until he attained that height? Or is it that whatever Jesus' height is, that's the perfect height?

Was his hair the perfect length? How about his fingernails?

The point is, of course, that "perfect" is a meaningless term without a reference by which to judge it. It would figure that a bunch of dumb religiotards wouldn't be smart enough to suss that out on their own.

I swore I said "according to the bible", which means whatever it says made Jesus perfect, is what we use as a reference.

Basic stuff that someone as smart as you should readily know.

Holy shit, you may have more than one learning disability.

The idea that the inability to do one specific thing negates free will. It is the implicit premise in your argument that persons must be able to "turn away from god" if they are to enjoy free will. That is not true. "Turning away from god" could have been created among the actions that are literally impossible for humans to do, such as digesting diamonds, seeing x-rays, levitating, etc. The inability to do those things does not mean free will doesn't exist. Persons remain free to choose among the actions of which they are actually capable.

But you're stupid, so you don't get that. I can't tell if it's the religion that makes you stupid, or if the stupidity is the reason you're religious.

All free will is, is the freedom to chose.

No, you don't get it. How are you seriously this dumb?

The descriptor "perfect" doesn't mean anything until you give it a reference in reality. You must answer the question "perfect WHAT?"

Was Jesus a perfect criminal? A perfect marksman? If he's "perfect" then he must be, right? Was he perfectly round? Perfectly square? If he's not perfectly round then he's not perfect.

Basic stuff...
Seriously, open a fucking book for once in your life, asshole.

That the bible says something preposterous doesn't make that thing any less preposterous. You have to actually deal with the argument, numbnuts.

Boy, this is very simple. "I" never claimed Jesus was perfect...the bible did. You want to know what constitutes a perfect Christ?

Consider the source from which the claim originated. That's fine if it does nothing for you, then quit whining...
