Not really, the intersect was designed to work for anyone (so that the government could create armies of super agents/soldiers/etc), this is basically the equivalent of anyone from the Matrix being unplugged and then having programs uploaded into their brain...only he is the only one that has the crash course of kick ass superspy uploaded into his brain (so while Neo was a god amongst other unplugged, they were gods amongst those still plugged in...). Granted, Chuck has always been more special than the average guy when it comes to this - when fulcrum had their own incomplete intersect, normal people would die when they tried to use it, but Chuck survived.

Pretty fitting though, the show keeps giving homages to other shows/movies, this one was pretty predictable though, but worthy and funny.


I just wonder what direction the show would take if it is continued. A ton of the charm was in the dynamic of Buy More real world and the spy world where Chuck made a terrible spy in physical terms, but more than made up for it thanks to tech ability and the intersect...and now not only is a true superspy now, just about everyone quit the Buy More...

Couple of things here:

1. Chuck has always been something of a pacifist, I doubt he'd change his ways.

2. Casey is more of a brute force kind of guy, and while Chuck may have the ninja moves, he doesn't have the strength.

3. While Chuck may be super badass right now, that doesn't mean he's suddenly invulnerable - why risk Chuck, the intersect (unless you really have to), when you can send in Casey?

4. He did "flash" to access the moves, and he did so when his life was threatened. Much like how he could never simply recall the information stored in him on demand, the abilities he now has might only be triggered by specific situations or perhaps strictly defensive...

At any rate, the whole "wait in the car" joke was getting old.

Several shows air their season finales this week, but few are garnering as much attention as ?Chuck,? which on April 27 aired what some fear may be its series finale as well.

Like many shows with a strong but small following, viewers who didn?t want to see the show go the way of ?Pushing Daisies,? organized a campaign meant to show the NBC decision-makers they wanted it back in the fall. (Msnbc.com is a joint venture between Microsoft and NBC Universal.)

Skeptical of how significant the groundswell of support might be and not exactly seeing much of a protest outside 30 Rock, I sent a Twitter query asking to see support. Never before have I witnessed such a swift response. One person said she?d ?be gutted? if ?Chuck? was tossed from the airwaves; another person pointed out that there isn?t enough ?nerd-heroism? on TV, and via Facebook, this compelling argument show producers might want to take note of: ?It is serialized, but you can miss a week without feeling totally lost (or ?Lost??), which is unique among today's dramas not involving a courtroom or a crime lab of some sort,? said John Buford.

To be clear, no decision one way or another has been made, but one insider I spoke with said not to be alarmed. ?The fact that some of the execs are still listening to what people have to say is a good thing. There might be hope.?

It's a great show, and the last couple of episodes have been awesome. I hope they don't get rid of the show.....

I thought the NJ article theorized one of the reasons they killed him off was because of his involvement with another TV show that's about to get rolling.

The bad guys dragged him out the door before Chuck flashed. Remember, Bryce was shot once before and put in "stasis"... odds are they'll be keeping that door open, just in case.
