Any cigarette smokers on ATOT? Why do you smoke? Might come off as flamebait but I'm actually interested as to why people smoke cigarettes. Tried em and hate em.

Solely out of addiction after you try them? I've tried Marlboro, L&M, and Newports, they all taste like shit to me and I've got no desire to try them again. Tried cloves once though, really good.

I mean are any of the reason good enough to balance out the outcome (sp?) later down the road, I think not but I can think of a number of reasons I smoke or started smoking. I don't know if I buy into all the reasons now but at some point I did.


It makes you look cool
Its relaxing and stress relieving
Its rebelious
Its amazing when combo'd with food, coffee, alcohol, sex
I like the act of smoking
Sometimes I like the taste

Ha ok and I dunno how to put this into words but I will try to relate it to a similar situation. You know when you have to pee and you are forced to hold it in for a while then when you finaly use the bathroom, or tree, its like AAAHHHHHHH. When you really want a smoke and you finally get one its like that too.

well. i hate smoking, first off.

i smoked my first cigarette last weekend and it wasnt too bad, but im smart enough to know i dont want to do that. this whole past week either my body or my mind has been telling me to smoke. luckily im not a dumb kid, or id prolly get some cigs.

im sorta glad i at least tried it, but i can see how people who smoke just one can be hooked for life.

Only occasionally do I smoke anything other than cloves, and I smoke them, because like you said, they taste very good and have far less tobacco than normal cigarettes. Which cloves did you smoke, Djarum Blacks?

When people say cigarettes taste good or smooth, what am I supposed to relate the taste to? They all, with the exception of cloves, taste like burnt out argilah tobacco to me.

Don't get me started on cigars, thought I got cancer from LIGHTING the one I tried.

Try different cigarettes from other countries. English tobacco is really smooth.

I don't smoke, but I sure want to if it weren't for the cancer thing. Main reasons being it looks cool and they smell good. Sign me up once they cure cancer.

Gives you a nice, relaxing feeling. Goes very well with coffee and carbonated beverages. An absolute must after a heavy meal. My advice to you is to quit while they still taste nasty. Once they start tasting good, you are in for life.
