Clean Install of Window

Can anyone please tell me how to perform a clean install of windows from the bios screem? I recently built a new computer and used the old HD from old computer. When i try to boot it up i can get the bios screen but after that i get a black screen. Someone suggested a clean install of windows, How do i do it from here? Please help me!

Is the drive even configured in bios? Make sure the bios sees the drive.

You should create a boot disk that has the format and fisk utilities on it. Boot off the floppy, use fdisk to remove all partitions. Then create the partitions desired, marking one of them active. Reboot to the disk again, the format the partitions as desired. If the computer is new it should support booting from the cdrom. Make sure bios is set to boot from cdrom, then place the cdrom in the drive, and reboot. Hopefully this will work. If not let us know...
