Cleaning stainless steel

I just got my kitchen remodeled and had tons of stainless steel appliances put in. My contractor told me not to use cleaners containing ammonia or bleach as they can pit the stainless steel. Anyone have any ideas or products they know of that can help clean stainless steel? Preferably some product I can buy in the store,etc. Something nice, easy and quick.

What kind of cleaning? If you really need to clean the hell out of it buy some S.O.S Pads.

Why not use a power tool and abrasive brush?

JK - there's a spray cleaner made specifically for stainless steel. Use that with a sponge/rag.

Zep Stainless Steel cleaner does the job for me.

I cleaned lots of SS in a sanitary kitchen this summer. First, use Sheila Shine once a year. You might have trouble finding it, but it makes it look great. Clean using a solution of Simple Green or similar.

Yep yep, my work has stainless steel EVERYWHERE and they use a special stainless steel cleaner. Kinda smells like citrus... it's oil based and works great.

It's stainless, clean it with any everyday cleaner. Ammonia is not going to pit it.
