Will CM9 just replace CM7? I haven't heard either way if you're "upgrading" or deleting CM7 to replace it with CM9.
Yup, its just like a windows upgrade, all your apps will still be there.

HP stopped making TouchPads months ago. I have no idea why your BBs would still have any in stock, or why they'd be charging anything besides $99/$149 for them.Is HP still actively making TouchPads? I thought they'd stopped, all of them were pulled from store shelves or sold. But I've been to two local BBs and they've got TPs on display. At full retail pricing though.
Hardware video decoding is currently not working. So the battery life situation for videos is not good (and you'd never be able to play a 720P video). So what the battery life like when streaming flash videos in cyanogenmod? I watched about 1.5 hours of TV (4 mbps 720p, flash in the web browser) last night and it used about 15% of the battery under webOS.

Is there any way of getting rid of webOS and just having android?
I've only got the 16gb version and as I hardly ever boot into webOS I'd like to reclaim as much storage space as possible.
Nope, all android installs currently keep webos intact.

So decided to try this out today. Most things are good, like the browser, still haven't installed gapps. Was able to get it working with exchange eventually, and but I had to fool with it.
My big issue right now is that the kindle app for Android tablets blows. The webos app is great, but two page landscape layout with page turning animation serif or sans serif font, and the ability to adjust the base brightness with auto adjust on. It has been the biggest use of my TP with over 50 books read since August.
The app for Android... is sad. No sans serif font, cannot adjust brightness with auto adjust on (maybe an ICS limitation) but the worst, apparently no two page layout in landscape, just wide paragraphs.
I'm hoping someone can tell me I'm doing it wrong, because as of right now I don't see any advantages to ICS over webos and a huge downside.

I just flashed to the alpha0 build, then the alpha0.5 build and for never ever flashing a custom rom in my years of Android use, it's pretty easy.
Question for those of you more knowledgeable than myself:
Whenever I need to flash something with CWM, do I have to boot back into WebOS to have USB access (to place the file in the base directory), or can I do that while in Android? ICS with it's weird media protocols, it isn't showing up in my devices.
*Awesome, the Touchstone still works and it automatically brings up the clock.
