CNN still has ethics.
Good for them.

Though i wonder if they'd feel differently if it was done in the general instead of the primary.
Maybe they care more that it was Sanders who was violated.

It is against CNN policy to pass questions to the designated Democrat candidate. And get caught.

But its not against CNN policy to hassle a Brietbart reporter and pull her arm.

Not sure if I agree with that fully or not.

Brazille was contractor, essentially a guest contributor, billed as a "democratic strategist." It appears that she learned of the question she leaked directly from the person who was set to ask the question at the town hall meeting rather than from CNN. She may have spoken to the woman at a service project both had attended. CNN acted appropriately in terminating her contract.

Oh know! This means Hillary is guilty of something again. I'm sure another Congressional committee is needed to clear this one up.

Not that I watch CNN or cable "news" in general, but shouldn't they have dumped their debate team for giving the debate questions to her instead? She is not exactly shy about her party affiliation and loyalty.

I thought she was a strong voice from the democratic party when it came to CNN analysts. I suppose everyone of us is vulnerable to cheating, even at the highest level. I'm glad she was held accountable.

Lol its amusing to think that had Hillary not been given a question that it would have had any impact at all on the debates.

Was hillarys answer to the death penalty question discussed here or by the press at all outside of debate night discussions on tv? Were the answers discussed on debate night by the various news sites?

I think ending her contact was the correct thing to do for a news network that wants to be seen as serious and non partisan. But anything outside of that such as complaining of an unfair advantage is just whining by trump and his supporters.

imagine the outrage by the lefties here if trump was given advanced notice....there would be two or page of separate threads about it...

In the same world, it would have been even more hilarious if that were the case. I mean, wouldn't it be outright embarrassing that his historically poor performance weren't simply due to "not preparing" in light that he actually had advance copy of some questions and still couldn't do better?

Not if the debate team didn't give her the question. This was a town hall debate where citizens asked the questions. Brazile apparently met the person who was going to ask the question on her own, at an event aimed at increasing public awareness of lead poisoning, which is what her question was about. She must have told Brazile that she was going to ask the question at the upcoming town hall debate, and Brazile passed it on the Clinton campaign.

She served her purpose and the job is now expendable.

Didn't serve much of a purpose for CNN. She passed on a question to a candidate for one primary debate, likely information she did not obtain from CNN, but it nevertheless made CNN look bad.

I meant her primary purpose of helping the Democratic Party, not what CNN thought her purpose was. That she was being paid by CNN while they helped enable her was simply gravy. She doesn't give a rat's ass about making CNN "look bad."

Yeah, I see the purpose from her perspective, I suppose. But it makes the Clinton campaign look bad in addition to CNN. I see no overall benefit here. So Hilary had a better answer to a question about lead poisoning in one primary debate. Not worth it for anyone except the Trump campaign.

God this election is such a sick joke. Richard Nixon is probably laughing in his grave.

If you are saying that due to all the backroom shenanigans being brought into the the light then you can save it. This crap has gone on in every election before, it just never was brought out into the light of day like it is this time. Politics in the US in general is fairly corrupt and has been for a while. Too much money on the line not to be.

Just for the record and for those that didn't actually read the article, this was not question(s) for the Presidential Debates. It was for the democratic primaries..
