the company i work for is doing a promotion with c2 and randalls (safeway in some places). most of the people i talked to seemed to like it, some thought it tasted like "flat" coke, a few even said it was more like pepsi. i personally don't think it will last long, but who knows.

C2 is essentially 1/2 part regular coke and 1/2 part diet coke. What is the big deal about that?

This is hardly something to get too excited about, just a marketing gimmick, heck it could have been done 20 years ago.

Agree 100 percent. Hopefully it will move to more and more markets. Right now they make some really good ice cream bars with it, for example.

I work at Best Buy, and when the coke guy came to replenish the store stock, he hooked me up with a case of the new C2. When he gave it to me he told me that he didn't like it all that much, as if its not ice cold it leaves kind of a thick aftertaste in your mouth. I agree, Pepsi One was better.

My wife brought home a 20oz bottle of C2 tonight. It was alright. Better than Diet Coke which leaves an awful after taste in my mouth but not as good as Coke Classic.

For every serving, there are 100 calories in Coke Classic and only 45 in C2 so that's pretty good. Now you can drink twice as much as before.

I was going to pick some up to try today, but couldn't find it in our area. It would have been a lot more appealing if they'd used Splenda instead of the aspartame though.

actually it's not. diet coke has no real sugar in it, this does. it's completely different from diet coke. the whole marketing scheme is "1/2 the carbs, 1/2 the sugar, 1/2 the calories - always great taste"

We also bought Pepsi Edge, Pepsi's version of C2. I like it much better. I should admit that I like Pepsi better than Coke anyway. But Pepsi is so sweet normally, when they take out half the sugar, it's still pretty sweet.

Coke C2 6 out of 10. Doesnt taste too bad, but I love the throat burning sensation of regular coke.

Pepsi Edge is much better. I've tried both and to me C2 tastes too much like Diet Coke. Plus C2 has damn Aspertame in it so it has that funky Apertame aftertaste. Pepsi Edge meanwhile uses Sucralose a.k.a. Splenda.

My favorite soda is actaully a walmart brand, "lighting mountain" or something like that. A lemon lime drink, 180 calories but doesnt feel too sugary. I was surprised when I tried it.

I tried it out over the weekend because of this thread and I must say it isnt bad. I don't taste a huge difference and its better than Pepsi to me. Maybe subconsciencely I like it because it'll take me longer to get fat. If I didn't look at the label I might not like it.

the C2 isn't half bad. I'm not much of a pop drinker anymore, but on upon initial tasting, it tastes like Coca Cola, but you quickly get an aftertaste of Diet Coke. I love how my teeth don't feel so gritty after Would i buy it again? Probably not, especially at the price of $7.69 for a 20 (i think) pack.

They probably don't use splenda because they're cheapasses and it's relatively expensive compared to aspartame or saccharin.

Diet Rite uses splenda and it's pretty good. But it's caffiene free.

Caffeine sucks.
So does phosphoric acid.

News Article:
"Sucralose

Marketed as Splenda, this substitute is sugar combined with chlorine, which prevents it from being metabolized by the body. Pepsi Edge contains Splenda and high fructose corn syrup. "No reason to suspect that sucralose causes any harm," according to CSPI."
