Looks great on my apu rig but multiplayer is very unstable in terms of fps compared to single player.

The link does not work for me, but look at the title. If correct it is "Modern Warfare" not "Advanced Warfare". Yea, it was out 7 years ago.

From GameGPU, this game seems to like the Maxwell architecture at 4K. Even against the 780 Ti, the 980 is close to 15% faster.

I played multiplayer for a couple hours last night and this game is EXTREMELY janky on my rig. A driver update or patch is very much needed.

Not really. Even the 980 is garbage. 90fps at 25xx resolutions for a graphically weak game is outright bad.

I mean COD is always developed with mainstream appeal, that means keeping it relatively weak on graphics so even 5-6 years old system can run it. That is part of its success.

Part of why Crysis for example had such poor sales when it first released, barely 600k units in the first 6 month, ultimately reached 2.5 million units over 1 year, but it just goes to show how much lower specs help games sell.

So to me all of the graphic cards are quite slow. But this is no surprise, since we've had the same rebranded graphics for over 3 years now. There hasn't truly been a new architecture.

Well no , crossfire and SLI is clearly not working and the R9 290x should be in at least 4th place

I dont have a powerful rig but they mp is very unstable, I can manage higher setting in the sp but have to drop them for mp and even then it is very stutter-y.

Stupid Nvidia, hurry up with the 980 Ti so I can pay a $1K over here and get it in. Will not buy a piffling mid range card. And yes the 980 is $700+ here. Want 980 Ti NOW.

I should have the game unlocked tomorrow and I'll run fraps on my rig below and post results.

Anxious to see if COD AW runs better in CF than COD Ghost.
I have a 2560 x1440 monitor for below. I'll also run it on my 3770k rig with 670s in SLI and my FX8350 rig with a single GTX780 Classified.

The 3770k rig monitor is 1920x 1080 resolution and the FX 8350 rig monitor is 1920 x 1200

Observation; a single core (with or without ht) seems to hit the wall at around 80% utilization. Wonder why? Synchronization overhead? How are those numbers recorded, are they with or without kernel times ?

What do you expect, is COD.

And good luck to anyone with crossfire, i am pretty sure it will not run smooth at all. Better off disabling it.

Dont forget you may get those 60fps with an old i3 2100.

And no CF/SLi support, hardly a surprise anymore.

As promised, I was able to play COD AW multiplayer for 3 rounds at 2560 x 1440 with all options set to optimal. I used my licensed version of Fraps with the following results:
First run:
Frames 16724 Time 210969ms Avg 79.272fps Min 0 Max 93
Second run:
Frames 3286 Time 39500ms Avg 83.190 fps Min 0 Max 93
Third run
Frames 39956 Time 481359ms Avg 83.007 fps Min 0 Max 93

I am running my CF 290s in my rig below at 1075 core/1400mem.

I'll run some SP benchmarks later. MP plays MUCH better on this rig than COD Ghost.

Incredibly smooth:biggrin: No freezing or lockups. Much more fun than Ghost.

As expected Nvidia has this game in the bag. GTX 980 dominates the rest and GTX 970 edges out R9 290X. AMD can try and improve perf but as is always COD games typically play better on Nvidia GPUs.
