I had AW for PS4, already traded it in- although it's better than Ghosts and other past CoD's, it's extremely repetitive. Though I did like playing the classic playlists more than the regular ones (no exo jump and super speed slides). My last CoD I enjoyed was the first Black Ops and I didn't find that repetitive- the maps were rather large in that game too, maps in AW are tiny.

I didn't finish the single player campaign, I almost never do, the last campaign I finished was in Bad Company 2.

Was a fun weekend to try out the game, had my complaints but overall a fun game.Kill the jet packs and the EM1 gun and its certainly just BO3.The jet packs added a whole new level of fun i never seen in a fps in a while.

I went from playing a bit of Titanfall to this and well if you play the Attrition mode without Titans then Titanfall and COD:AW feel so damn identical that it isn't even funny. The Titanfall reference is well deserved in all honestly.

Did anyone else enjoy the free weekend?

You are exactly right, AW and Titanfall are very similar. I dont care for either, both got boring very quickly for me.

Looks like Advanced Warfare is back up again on Steam, going to give it another go with my new 970.

Should be much more enjoyable as i even have a new 1tb drive as well to put it on. 2 days left for it for anyone who wants to try it lol.

Yes should be perfect on the 970. It's AMD users like myself that have to suffer some bad issues on certain maps.

Had to take a look at the GameGpu review of the game, surprised this long later Amd performance hasn't improved.

Is gpu usage just randomly all over with fps dips due to cpu and drivers?I hear stuff about Nvidia cpu overhead in 970 vs 290 debates but i never got much into why this game is like that.

This is the first COD game in a long while I couldn't even be bothered finishing the single player campaign. I like a bit more sim in my military shooters. COD:AW is a full on acrade game.

Spent half the day trouble shooting issues with lock ups and crashes, comes to be you need 16 of ram or a pagefile cause all memory+vram goes out the window if you enable high+ textures, you could run medium and be fine staying under 3gb vram/7.1gb ram usage even with everything outside of super sampling enabled but the second high textures are on,vram on my 970 is sucked up and all 8gb of ram disappears and crash went my system...

Enabled a 4gb pagefile, then suddenly any settings outside of shadow cache can be turned on,even including super sampling where combined memory usage hit over 9100mb.....not including also a maxed out 970.

Never had to enable a pagefile for a game before....never needed one till now lol.Shadow cache options looks to have a warning now about pretty much needing a 4gb card which i think is stupid.I enabled them and obviously got the blurry washed out textures on my 970....

Yes.

I have a 2500k @ 4.4 ghz and a 7950 @ 1100mhz.

Even on low settings I get dips down into the 40's on some maps, while GPU usage is at like 40%.

I couldn't play that game if that was happening to me,guessing this wasn't a issue with BO2?

I can't stand dips even into the 70's cause of the feel of it,let alone 40s.These games being what they are feel so much better coasting 90 all the time, they feel out of place going anywhere below it.

Yeah, I don't play it anymore. Wasted my money basically. Bought it for $60 too. Bought into the hype. Also Totalbiscuit released a video saying it was a great port and apparently it is for Nvidia users. I didn't play Ghosts but BO2 ran at 120 fps on my rig.

Never played a FPS shooter on a PC before but I have been wanting to try. Since CoD is the only shooter I really play I might have to give it a shot.

Yeah i waited for a free weekend for BO2 before i even considered buying it,this one is alright but it doesn't even play the same as it did in December.Insanely fast ttk now, troubleshooted crashing half of yesterday which wasn't there in December when i had my 770.

I surely see why the pc community hates this series of games.Ports being so random and sometimes problematic.

Luckily BO2 is so enjoyable and fun.NukeJacked alone makes the purchase price worth it,those maps are addicting to play.
