Alright so I have recently been encountering a problem with COD2. I get massive artifacting on certain maps. Basically it looks like huge triangles and graphical error all over the screen. They come and go but they mostly happen when I look around too fast.
I thought for sure this was another symptom of the 7900GT memory problem so I was going to start an RMA (eVGA btw) until I decided to try one of my old eVGA 6800GT cards. I never had a problem like this with those before. When I put that card in and loaded up COD2 I get the same artifacting at about the same spots. Now I am thinking that there is nothing wrong with the 7900GTs at all and maybe this is a driver/settings issue.
So, since I needed to do it anyways, I reformatted and reinstalled windows and COD2 fresh. This would eliminate any problems of old drivers not being uninstalled properly and causing conflicts/erros. I stilll amd seeing the same problem though. I have been trying to mess with the control panel settings but I don't seem to be getting anywhere.
Anybody have any ideas? I wish I could post some screenshots but it is really hard to capture what I am seeing cause I either happens so fast or does not show up on the screenshot.
