I love having coffee or tea. In a day I at least have two cups of either coffee or tea, but want to curtail down my in take. I am not addicted to tea or coffee but I love it and cant resist myself drinking it.

What you feel about coffee or tea?

I usually have 1 or 2 cups of coffee a day during the working week. I'll usually have tea on the weekends.

I have one cup of coffee in the morning and several cups of tea. I could give up coffee but never tea.

There are plenty of caffeine free (or low caffeine) teas to choose from if that is a concern. Even a cup of black tea has quite a bit less than the typical cup of coffee (which is why I need that one cup in the morning!).

1 coffee in the morning

then 2-4 teas (actually 1 bag of green tea and keep refilling the cup with hot water)

1 coffee after lunch

I drink decaf coffee at all hours, and have tea when it "feels" a bit heavy.

2-3 cups of coffee per day, spread pretty evenly between 9-4. I feel like I am on the edge of being addicted to caffeine .. some days I start to feel tired if I don't have it within 3ish hours of waking up but more often I'm fine. Anyway it seems pretty harmless health-wise and I enjoy coffee quite a bit so don't particularly intend to cut back.

Honestly, you don't have much room to reduce intake. You only drink 2 cups a day. (I'm assuming you refer to METRIC cups, not like two venti-sized cups)

Can I ask why you want to cut down your intake?

I'm caffeine free for pretty much over 25 years (yeah, I know there are small amounts in chocolate, etc..). I didn't like how I was reacting to things when I was drinking caffeinated coffee and teas. So, now I drink herbal teas.

I enjoy coffee. Generally, I have two cups (about 14oz) in the morning, but as I've gotten older caffeine beats me up pretty good. If I have any caffeine after noon, it affects my sleep, and if I go without drinking any coffee for more than a week, I notice my caffeine tolerance quickly falls.

I can't stand black or green tea. Even the smell makes me nauseous. But I do enjoy many herbal teas.

My doctor advised me to stop drinking coffee and so I did more than 6 months ago. First week or two was though. I drink tea 3-4 times a week (only herbal teas not those strawberry-yogurt flavored teas). I have also stopped drinking coke and other sodas (basically I just drink water, tee or fresh squeezed juices) and I have lost about 15kg in 6 months, I feel that I have more energy, I don't have headaches, I woke up easier, my teeth are much whiter... I don't plan on going back to coffee again...

I love my coffee too. I drink about 5 cups of strong coffee each day and two double shot short blacks. Why give up a good thing. Unless it's having a direct effect on your life, keep going. Life's a little too short.

Coffee is easier to add flavors (vanilla, chocolate, hazelnut etc) and milk to. Tea is more narrow - milk backfires etc. I use both but mostly coffee.
