Why? (1) It's something to do, and (2) I'm starting college and wondering what would be best to get and am curious about what most people use. I'll admit the 3rd poll is rather pointless, but it did turn up some interesting responses. Who cares? Me, obviously.

no... or at least, not since high school.

I pretty much stopped taking notes after Freshman year, though. I found that I learned better if I just sat and paid attention to what the teacher was saying -- it also meant that I rarely had to study for tests

if I did take notes, they were scribbled in the margins of the text book.
