Combining Bandwidth from two networks

Is there a way, using two networks cards in your computer connecting you to two networks, to combine the bandwidth and simulate ONE connection? In my head it seems logically possible, but I've never seen or heard of it done? Anyone know anything about this?

Yes it is possible and its called bridging. I'm not really familiar with how its done since I don't have 2 connections.

What specifically are you trying to do with it? If you are perhaps trying to use two broadband connections, you might want to look at the Nexland routers. They support bonding of both cable and DSL. The real advantage of this is that if one service provider has problems, the other will probably still be good to go.

Basically I have an internet service that comes with my apartment.. Its fast, although it has a bandwidth cap.. after I use so much my speed starts falling. We also are getting DSL/Cable since we can't put up with that.. I was just trying to figure out if I could combine both to make more bandwidth. Just thought it would be cool to do so I wouldn't be wasting one connection.
