What do you think of this system ?? Its for personal motion graphics station (after effects).

And, have you tried the WD Raptor 10000rpm HD ??? Is it good ?

A name brand 300W should be ok... personally i'd go for a bit more if i had your rig.

Your 2 Raptors in RAID 0 should be flying... i'm still waiting on a few things before i have mine up and running. Good luck!

A 300 watt would run that system. As for how long you tend to keep the ti 4200 or how long the life span of the PSU will last depends. Could just play it safe for future upgrades to get a 400 watt. As for the system you listed though, It should run fine.

A quality 300 watt would be ok, but if it was me I'd go for something a little bigger. Probably an antec 380w true power.

Well, I'm one Raptor owner who's not too impressed with them. At least this particular one, as much as I can infer it to other similar drives; but I did "upgrade" from SCSI so perhaps my expectations were a bit too high. I'm not quite sure what "personal motion graphics" is. Taken at face value I get this image of Homer Simpson in the cartoon dog suit.

My case is an Antec Soho File with a 300Watt powersuply, dont know if its a ''true'' 300Watt. Maybe I can start with my 300 Watt and Buy a 400Watt later this year ?
