My current rig is in my sig. I am going to build the system listed below, but keep my current video card, DVD, case and power supply. Won't be using it much for games, but I ocassionally due some minor video editing. I will mildly overclock. I know the mobo is probably overkill for what I need, but I like to have more than I need then regret not having it when needed.

Drop motherboard down to the Gigabyte P35 DS3L if you're not interested in crossfire. Perhaps also consider dropping the CPU down to the E8400 - it's so close in performance as to make very little difference, and it's a bit cheaper too.
