Compaq died?

Ok. I was using my computer (just like usual) last night and the last thing I ran was a Norton Scan of the computer (runs at idle so...eh) I try to turn it on this morning but the only thing that will come up is the Compaq label and I ran setup like 5 times to run the hdd's but it says it is not detecting anything. Now it will freeze at the compaq sign. I can't hit any buttons and it basically turns on and freaks out. I've disconnected everything from it (dvd/ dvd-rw, hdd's (2x) and run just the mobo, cpu, psu, and vid card and even then it freaks out and freezes. Here are the specs.

Compaq Presario S4300NX
Intel Pentium 4 2.4 GHz Processor with 800 MHz Bus on an i865G Based Motherboard
WD Raptor 34.5GB SATA at 10,000
WD 100GB at 7,200
Compaq DVD Drive
DVD-RW (forget manuf.)
1.5GB RAM at 2700
ATI VisionTek 128MB Vid Card
Vantec PSU: VAN-400B

Any help would be appriciated before I bring it to a "professional" to look at.

Can you access safe mode? The bios?
If you see the Compaq logo the machine is getting to post, the logo hides the post screen.

I cannot access safe mode or the setup screen. All it does is show the logo (post?) and freezes. It won't do anything else.

Try hitting Del or F1 at the Compaq screen to see if the machine will access the bios. This can be done with no drives attached. If so, disable the Compaq logo on startup. If you get this far, reattach the bootdrive and see if it is recognized.

I wasn't able to post for a couple of days but.... I can't even access bios through F1 (Setup/Bios) Do I need to reset the bios or....mobo? cpu? what?
