I've seen comparisons of the various asus eee netbooks, but is there a comparison of the offerings from all the major providers? acer, msi, dell, asus, ...
comparison in what way? they basically all share the same internals. some come with 3 cell batteries, some with 6. basically the only difference is how it looks externally and the keyboard
There are some models that have been updated, but it is a start. They have newer models online too in individual articles.
For my needs (getting it ASAP for a family member overseas), if I get a netbook, I think it boils down to Samsung 110-120, 1000HE, HP 2140, Lenovo, Acer One. Then decide if better LAN/WAN, 6cell battery, keyboard make it worth extra $$.
I like my new Samsung X460-44G laptop, easy to work on, but their netbook is hard to change the hard drive. See details on how to do it on laptopmag.com if interested.
I wanted sleek looks and a top notch keyboard so I went with the HP Mini 1000. That said the Asus 1000HE is a better deal for what you get, much much better battery life and still a good keyboard.
