Just went to the Austin CompUSA (North in the Gateway Center). They still had tons and tons of RAM PC133 when I was there at about 1pm. I got the last sound card though. I'm not sure about the limit on the rebates for the RAM, but everyone that I saw was getting two sticks.

I just picked up one pack of 25 TDK CD's from COMPUSA on Long Island, and the label said that it was manufactured in the USA. So I ran CDR Identifier on it, and it didn't show up as either Ritek or Taiyo Yuden but rather as:

Disc Manufacturer: TDK Corp.
Dye (Type No.): Cyanine (Type 0)
nominal capacity: 658.74MB

For those that are worried about cheap quality, such as the 200 for free from OfficeMax, I remember hearing that the TDK's manufactured by TDK are simply one of the best. I'd go out and grab these since they're free and great quality.

Does anyone have a scan of the $50 rebate for the 40 gig Maxtor drive? It was $149 but is $99 after the rebate. The store was out of forms. All they had was the $50 rebate for buying the maxtor pci ultra 100 card.

Garden City is where I went around noon. The line for the memory was too long (since it's behind the counter), and I didn't have the patience to wait on the line even for the free memory. So I don't know if it's still in stock.

I'll tell you though... it was extremely crowded. Cars had to park across the street towards the mall area since there was no parking to be found at CompUSA's lot.

The RAM sold out within 5 minutes at my store. Still plenty of the other stuff, but the price of the TDK CDRs was $14.99 - $5 instant - $10 MIR, I don't know if its the same for the rest of you guys. These have 'Made in Taiwan' on them and to no suprise:

What $50 rebate on maxtor's 40GB? Is the rebate in store? Is it MAxtor's manufacturer rebate or compusa's store rebate?

Man, I'm too lazy to go to church in the morning... but gimmie a sale at CompUSA and I'm up after 3 hours of sleep! Ridiculous but true!

So... I picked up the last of the PC133 RAM from the Seattle store. Got just about everything else too. I'm totally impressed. Places always sell out of everything before I get there when they're cheap like this.

I got 2 Infineon pc100 sticks at Jacksonville Fl store. pc133 out but they still had the 100s. TDK cdr's made in usa.

CompUSA in Phoenix also substituted #280956.

They told me that I could get 2 rebates but had to fill out 2 forms (OK to mail together).

I was told at the Syracuse NY store you could only get one rebate even thought you could by two. Also on the rebate it says one name,address so hmm.....who really knows

I tried to call CompUSA up to place a hold on 2 memory sticks.
CSR lied big time. Out of stock.
When I went there. There were 50 of these at the computer upgrade center already and:
They just keep bringing them out.

I grabbed the last WebCam but one guy insists on getting it for his nephew so I gave him. It's useless for me anyway. They were out of free after MIR modems and sound cards. Told a CSR to hold 2 sticks for me. They better keep it. Can't buy more than 2 sticks with a credit card i think.
MAD RUSH, biggest sale of the year. Everything's cheaper than hell.

My local compusa didn't have the TDK cdrs or the memory. Their flyer was only 4 pages thick unlike the scan posted. grrr
