i see on their site that the WD 200gig is $299.99 with a $100 rebate that was only good from 6/22 to 6/28...

edit: and the Maxtor drive that is advertised is for $129.99 after instant and mail in rebates.

edit #2: and with the Maxtor...the one compusa has gives you no free ATA133 PCI card. The one at Microcenter does. PM the $249.99 price to microcenter (yes they PM, but with no percentage of the difference returned), and you get the drive for the same price with ATA133 PCI card.
Microcenter has it for $279.00 with the same $120 MIR that compusa has. (an ATA133 PCI card is $45 at microcenter and $40 at compusa)

edit #3: the only way i could get the drive for $120 at compusa AR would be to use the $10 off $50 coupon i have...not worth it...

actually, i'm trying to talk myself out of that 512mb cf for $99... but i would seriously advise anyone against buying those visiontek cards expecting a rebate... bb had to pay mine (waited over a year with no rebate in sight).

I bought what I think is the same Koji 17" LCD about 6 months ago, but I think I paid $340 for it! It has been pretty decent, though I use it as a seconary monitor. The first time I hooked it up I thought "crap, back the factory" because I had all kinds of interference, but then I untwisted the signal and power cords and it cleared right up. It has pretty decent contrast, lousy speakers (like all built in monitors), and good brightness. The only annoying thing is that the amber LED stays on all the time even when the monitor is powered off. Otherwise, a good buy, IMHO.

I got the Kogi 17" LCD in February from BB. After rebate of $160, it cost me $240. I thought it was a great deal and a pretty good monitor until a couple of weeks later, BB sold their vprMatrix/Samsung monitor for $205 after $210 in rebates and 10% coupon. The DVI input on the Samsung put the Kogi to shame and since it was after 14 days, I sent the Kogi to Amex Return Protection and got $300 back.

It was kind of annoying to have to adjust the Kogi monitor everytime it was unplugged. It takes time to fine tune it in order to get rid of the bold vertical text on parts of the screen. I think you have to go see the monitor instore and see whether you want to spend an extra $100 to get a better monitor from Samsung or others. Some people insists on DVI for LCD monitor, I tend to agree with them.
