If its written like every other warranty I've ever seen, they aren't obligated to do any more than they offered you. In fact, most places wouldn't refund you the warranty price, just the $169 plus MAYBE a prorated amount of the warranty if it wasn't at the end.
You should have taken the $250 and been happy you had a free lcd for as long as you did.
That said, compusa still sucks.
The value of the monitor was $250 because 1. the sales person was an ass to me and i had to get the manager and 2. because it was an open box. Now when the wrote the recipt up the took $69 off the price of the monitor and put it towards the price of the warrenty. SO when if any thing were to go wrong with the monitor they would only be liable for $169, which is total bull. I asked the guy why they didnt just charge me the full $250 and then like a $1 for the warrney, and he didnt have anything to say about it. Another compusa employee told me that they make commission off that.
