Computer Boot Problems

I have 4 computers 1 laptop, 1 gaming, 1 desktop, and 1 that will be a Linux PVR. All of the, except the laptop, had broken motherboards, or so I thought. They would turn on, fans on, but no POST beep, or anything on the monitor. I bought motherboards for all of them (and upgraded the video, cpu, and memory on the gaming), and they are still doing the same thing. I tried removing everything out of the computer except for the motherboard, cpu, and memory, and it still didn't work. All of the were new. What is wrong? If I cant get it to work, Im just going to take it to a computer store to get fixed.

did you try the PSU (powersupply)
maybe thats the problem
also check the ram
switch ram sticks between them
are your PC running on a network?
try reinstalling windows

Well, it wont even POST. I tried without any RAM at all (should give a beep code that theres no RAM, yea?), and with RAM that I know works. All 3 computers don't work, so I don't think its the power supply. 1 of the PSUs is just 6 months old. Windows is only on the gaming PC, which is actually not mine, but my little brother's. Linux FTW .

Classic symptoms of an underpowered psu.

With that many number of systems you would think you will be able to switch parts around to find the culprit. Start with the basic (mobo, cpu w/ HSF, a stick of ram, Video card and PSU. It should post. If there's no post check the PSU to make sure it is turned on either with the hsf or PSU fan. If PSU is on but no post, switch PSU and make sure the 12V aux power is connected. If you can find a known working PSU the better. Make sure you connect the monitor using vga connector instead of the DVI. If it still won't post, check the power supply to make sure it is not undervoltage or faulty. Use a different outlet.

dont be to lazy
just try to switch psu
and then try all ur PSU on another good PC that already works
maybe something happened to the power line in your house

how much did you spend on all those PC's
i mean you bought new components for every pc
what did you do with your old components?
