Computer Charity Organization (southern westchester, NY)

Hello. This is my first post at these great forums :>

Ok, i am going to be a senior next year, but this summer (and possibly during the school year) i would like to do some community service. I already have my college required time done, but this time i would like to do something that i enjoy; computers. I was wondering if anybody knew of a charity in my area (southern westchester, NY) that delt with something along the lines of computers for the poor, or computer training (i can deal with people who take a few times to get the hang of something).

I can't really help you specifically as I dont live in NY, but I would reccommend looking around at places like the YMCA or a youth center of some sort. Most of them would gladly accept your volunteer work. Where I live there's a youth center called the PAL, I go there to weightlift. I might be volunteering there later on by teaching kids about computers, or just maintaining them (they have a couple classrooms full of computers). Something along those lines would work good, and it would be fun Good Luck

Try the local Boy Scouts of America council. They're always looking for someone who can work on their computers/network.
