Office Depot must be putting on clearance the entire Pacifica line. I picked up the Pacifica Media Center Desk for $180 clearanced at my local B&M OD.

The 3D View of the desk is excellent, in stead of rotating a picture they modeled the desk which allowed you to zoom and pan at ease, drawers slid open at your click. The site is worth going to just for the 3D view.

I wonder how's the quality of the wood. If its solid than this is a good deal, if is compress, than its a ok deal, cuz after a while it wiggles and falls apart.

I really can't tell what kind of wood it is. But if it's retail $350 then the wood should be of high quality.

Well the finish is "adder" meaning I think it's real wood. I was checking out the other desks at office depot and some of them said "Finish: Laminate", meaning it's that cheap plastic wood look a like wallpaper piece of crap. So I guess it's a good desk. It just doesn't look big enough. I'm the kind of person that wants his monitor in front of him not to the side. But if you look at the pictures it seems like there's not enough room to have the monitor in front of you and have space to do some work on.

Opinions? I know it's norwegian alder laminate finish. Meaning it's fake wood. but $50 for a nice big desk is good

Being a former OD employee I can assure you of one thing. All of the desks that they sell are fake wood! They just have a nice laminate over them. Still great desks.

Yea I'm thinking I'm gonna get that soho student desk. It's 49.99, get some rubber bands, hit $50 something use a $15 off $50 and get it for $35 Shipped, cuz $50 and over it's free shipping. You just can't go wrong with a $35 desk. =)

I have Pacifica desk and like it alot. I think I paid about $160 for it about a year and a half ago. The only thing I didn't like about it was the CPU compartment doesn't have a vent in the back, so I had to cut one myself. The CD rack is handy for the crap you use all the time, and the drawer is pretty big too. It's definitely worth $80-100.

madmacks, u could not find it because i did not get time to upload it on my site. I received the email from a friend of mine regarding this and I just went ahead and posted it on the forum.
